Rob Prulhiere began Mountain Home Company's operations in 1999 in Abilene, Texas to serve Texas schools and churches with the opportunity to purchase or lease quality used portable classroom buildings at a discount off the cost of new buildings. In 2003 headquarters were moved to the Harrison area of Arkansas, and operations soon spread to Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Oklahoma. Then in 2005, headquarters was moved again to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and soon thereafter service began in Kansas. We now have connections NATIONWIDE to assist schools in saving money with "THE GREENEST" portable classroom buildings - 100% recycled!
Well-built modular classroom buildings can be expected to last 30 years or longer. In fact we've seen high-quality used buildings that have been well-maintained, that still had 30 or more years of additional life. (We've also seen seven-year old low-quality buildings that weren't worth a dime!)
